Crusting Cream Cheese Buttercream

Ingredients:

1/2 cup of high ratio shortening

1/2 cup (one stick) unsalted butter at room temp

1- 8 oz bar cream cheese at room temp

2 lbs (8 cups) sifted powder sugar

Directions:

1. Cream the shortening, butter, and cream cheese on low speed for 3 minutes or until light and fluffy.

2. Slowly add the sifted confectioners sugar, a cup at a time.

3. Continue to mix on low speed for another 3 minutes.

4. Stop the machine and scrape down the sides of the bowl to ensure that everything is well incorporated.

5. Briefly mix the buttercream. we do not want to over mix, for that will create air bubbles in our buttercream.
