Shortening Based Frosting
Ingredients:
1 Lb of Emulsified Shortening
5 Lbs of Confecctioners Sugar
1 Tablespoon of Almond Extract
1 Tablespoon of Orange Flavoring
1 Cup of Water
Directions:
1. Cream the emulsified shortening at high speed until smooth.
2. Mix the flavorings together with the 1 cup of water.
3. Now slowly add the confectioners sugar to the smoothed emulsified shortening, alternating with the water and flavoring mixture.
4. Continue to mix the frosting for another 10 minutes.
