Simple Syrup (Puerto Rican Style)
Storage:
Keep refridgerated for up to 2 months.
Ingredients:
2 Cups of Water
1 Cup of Granulated Sugar
1 Teaspoon of Almond Extract
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
2 Tablespoons of Rum, Amaretto, or Brandy
Directions: Place sugar and water in a pan and bring to a boil, then lower to a medium heat. When sugar dissolve, add the extract and the rum, amaretto or brandy. Let this cool down before adding to cake.
